POLLOCK'S "MARBLE PAINTING"
September 20, 2018 - Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) was a famous American artist best known for his abstract expressionist splatter paintings. He painted large canvases by throwing and dripping liquid paint instead of using an easel and a brush.
Imitating Pollock's drip painting style, our class used marbles instead of a brush. We cut out round paper, put it into a box, and dropped paint-colored marbles onto our paper. The results were sheer dripping madness as the marbles rolled on our paper to create fantastic looking lines and patterns. We had a lot of fun creating art following Jackson Pollock's painting style.
